Solstice Triangle Ride - 23rd June 2019

It’s that time again folks …… the 20th Annual Keswick Bikes Solstice Triangle Ride 23rd June 2019

Join us for this wonderful annual ride celebrating Sustrans Millenium Cycle Route project.
For those of you joining us for the first time, here is what you need to know:

Total distance: 65 miles
Total Ascent: 5000 feet approx
Ride Difficulty: suitable average fit rider, some steep climbs especially on the return over Whinlatter. Mixture well surfaced cycle tracks and quieter country lanes.

06.00: Depart from Castlerigg Stone Circle
06.15: Depart from Keswick Bikes shop then: A591 to Castle Inn, left turn…Embleton, Cockermouth, Papcastle, Great Broughton, Camerton, Workington, Parton, Whitehaven.
08.30: Breakfast on Whitehaven Harbour at the Wellington Bistro (£5 approx)
09.30: Depart Whitehaven using Sustrans Route 71 C2C via Loweswater and Whinlatter with late lunch at the ever popular Kats Kitchen next to Keswick Bikes.

Free Event

No sign-up or Registration, just turn up.
Raising money for MS, please make a contribution in the shop or take a sponsorship form.
No support vehicle.
Social ride style.
Road or Hybrid style bike suitable.
You must be self-sufficient with spare tubes, pump, energy bar, water etc.
U16 must be accompanied by adult.
E-bikes welcome.
Helmet must be worn.
Weather looking pretty good, but you never know so bring a waterproof!
