Allerdale Bike Challenge
First round is from Keswick Bikes & Kat’s Kitchen on Wednesday 17th May. This local event has been running for a number of years and is a great way to take part in a low key orienteering competition that is open to cyclists of all ages.
Each of the evening rounds gives riders the opportunity to cycle in lovely surroundings, navigating for 2 hours to checkpoints along quiet country lanes.
Many participants take advantage of this opportunity without any ambition to win the event although there is a competitive edge for those wishing to push themselves. In previous years, money raised has been donated to; Mountain Rescue, MS Society and the Watchtree Foundation.
Entry is online and if you enter all 5 events you can get one free entry: www.bmbo.org.uk (British Mountain Bike Orienteering)Written on December 7th, 2017 by sysadmin
