Matthew BardgettSomething of an unique spanner, a man that brings countless enthusiasm to every area of the business, whether fixing a bike or riding a fixy. Owns some very flash bikes but always seems to ride clapped out, rigid, single speed Kona from a previous century! What is going on you ask? Alex Gibson - Possibly the Happiest Man on EarthAlex brings a wealth of knowledge from both the outdoors and many years as YHA Warden in the Lakes to Keswick Bikes. The shop just wouldnt be the same without him! Keswick Bikes: Road & Hybrid SalesKeswick Bikes @ The Lakeland PedlarKMB @ The Lakeland Pedlar (above the cafe in Bell Close Car Park) is our dedicated road bike and clothing shop with road bikes from Giant, Trek, Specialized & Cervelo and also stocking the full range of Specialized bikes & accessories - MTB. Huge stock of clothing by Gore, Altura, and Endura and an ever growing section dedicated to female cyclists. The Lakeland Pedlar TeamEugene (Lakeland Pedlar Store Manager) & Donald (Keswick Bikes IT, Sales, Mountain Rescue Team Member) relaxing on the shores of Derwentwater after another hard day at the office ..!Don't be deceived by their relaxed nature as behind the scenes, these guys bring a wealth of knowledge to the KMB team.
Fraser RobinsonOur Part Timer with a difference, in a previous life, Fraser was a Head of Department in education , who although now retired, has chosen to accept the challenges of servitude at Pedlar Towers. His depth of knowledge and unfathomable patience have gained him a very loyal following, although some say that keeping up with him when on a bicycle may present certain challenges!!
Alistair RobinsonGenerally appears at KMB when he is broke and needs to replenish his depleted coffers. This is a great opportunity for KMB, however as he competes at the very highest level of UK road racing (hence his continued poverty) and has a superb grasp of the latest products and innovations. Obviously his grasp of fitness & training gives him a great knowledge & understanding of cycling at a high level which always willingly shares with KMB customers. Keswick Bikes: Workshop & Hire CentreKeswick Bikes @ The Workshop & HireWORK SHOP & HIRE BIKE CENTRE is based at our Southey Hill location, by the James Bond Museum (!)l for all bike hire, servicing (Shimano Service Centre, Hayes Super Service Centre & Magura Passion Point), kids bikes, closeout mega deals & second hand bikes. Darren MurrayGot a question about your bike? Chances are he'll know the answer. Darren has been involved in every aspect of the cycle trade for a very long time. An encyclopedic knowledge of all mechanical things bicycle invariably means we and our customers are always pestering him for information. Oh yes, also a very nice man and an exceptional cycle mechanic, knew I had forgotten to mention something! Justin GriceMost folk call him 'J' but you can call him what you want..................riding god perhaps? He is a great mechanic, thorough, dependable, careful.......and with a depth of cycling knowledge that comes from years of riding road and mountain bikes at a level well above that of your average enthusiast!
Simon PantonSimon is the KMB Guru of Orders. He has the ability to find the most elusive cycling parts for our most demanding customers. His quiet and somewhat reserved nature means that most visitors do not realise his key role within KMB. Quiet waters run deep as they say, so we must assume Simon is very deep indeed. Who knows but what we do know is that KMB would not function half as effectively without his contribution. Keswick Bikes: Founders and OwnersAre They Still There ..?This is Amos on The Slab at Dalbeatie (and yes we've photoshopped the pic to make it look much steeper than it really is).
Amos & Andrew Business OwnersThese two characters are largely responsible for Keswick Bikes surviving for nearly 20 years, or maybe that should read prospering? March 1992 - A Long Long Time AgoLets see now.............................KMB was started in March 1992....................which means this is what can happen to some one after twenty years of being self employed...........pretty scary! |
